Healthcare Fund and Palet Welzijn (Fundis) sign cooperation agreement for first ‘Wonen met Amare’ location
October 13, 2025
Bouwinvest Healthcare Fund and Palet Welzijn (part of Fundis) have signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of the ‘Wonen met Amare’ living concept at the Bospark care complex in Alphen aan den Rijn. This marks the first concrete realisation of the innovative concept. The apartments at Bospark are scheduled for completion in September 2026, when the first residents are expected to move in.
Collin Boelhouwer, Fund Manager Healthcare Fund at Bouwinvest: “The Healthcare Fund targets stable, long-term returns while responding to growing demand for senior housing and care facilities. By partnering with organisations such as Palet Welzijn, we can deliver projects that are not only financially robust, but also genuinely contribute to appropriate and future-proof living environments for older people.”
‘Wonen met Amare’, developed by Palet Welzijn, is fundamentally a community concept focused on a vital and social later life. The concept is based on reablement: enabling older people to live independently, healthily and happily for as long as possible, under their own steam and in connection with others. Community spirit and actively looking out for one another are central, so that residents are less likely to need intensive care and can remain in their familiar surroundings for longer. By prioritising well-being through community building, a sense of safety is created.
Petra Pronk, Managing Director, Palet Welzijn: “With this collaboration, we are taking an important step towards the first realisation of ‘Wonen met Amare’. It makes our vision tangible: living in a community where well-being, health and care go hand in hand.”
