The new store will be approximately 3,000 m2 in size, divided over approximately 830 m2 on the ground floor and over 2,100 m2 of space divided across the basement and the first and second floors.
After a major renovation of Lijnbaan 111 store in the autumn of 2023, NIKE was initially scheduled to open its doors to the public in the spring of this year. Due to the expansion, NIKE now expects its new flagship store to start trading in the spring of 2025.
According to Collin Boelhouwer, Fund Manager Dutch Retail Investments, the optimisation and realisation of the largest NIKE store in Europe will make it a great asset and a major draw for the central shopping area of Rotterdam. In addition, the new flagship store will strengthen the Bouwinvest Retail Fund’s real estate portfolio, which focuses on both Convenience and Experience retail properties.
Bouwinvest was advised on the expansion by City Real Estate. Jacobs van der Meij Real Estate acted on behalf of the tenant. The project management will be carried out by Bouwplot.
