Bouwinvest Residential Fund sells 284 homes to IProperty Asset Management
31 March 2025
The Bouwinvest Residential Fund has sold three residential complexes with a total of 284 homes and 202 parking spaces to IProperty Asset Management. The homes, located in Amsterdam, Apeldoorn and Maastricht, have an average surface area of approximately 97 m2, while 88% of them have an A energy label or higher.
The Bouwinvest Residential Fund announced earlier this year that it plans to invest € 1 billion in the Dutch housing market in the coming years, in part by selling properties that have been in the fund’s portfolio for some time or that are less favourably located in the fund’s core regions. Paul van Stiphout, Fund Manager Residential Investments at Bouwinvest, says: “Approximately one million homes need to be built by 2034. By selling these properties, we are rejuvenating our portfolio and freeing up the financial resources we need to invest in new residential projects.”
This investment is a new step in the expansion of IProperty Asset Management's residential portfolio. IProperty’s focus is on the acquisition of high-quality homes that contribute to sustainable and future-proof living. This is in line with the ambition to create long-term added value and have a positive impact on the housing market.
The transaction was financed by ING Real Estate Finance. Capital Value advised the Bouwinvest Residential Fund on the sale.
