From tenant to owner: Rijksvastgoedbedrijf acquires Centre Court from Bouwinvest Office Fund

25 August 2025

Rijksvastgoedbedrijf (Dutch Central Government Real Estate Agency, RVB) has acquired the Centre Court office building, located in the Beatrixkwartier area of The Hague, from the Bouwinvest Dutch Institutional Office Fund. The RVB, the building’s largest tenant for many years, is now its full owner. This transaction enables the RVB to independently plan and implement future renovations and sustainability measures.

Centre Court is situated on Prinses Beatrixlaan, in a prime location near The Hague Central Station and Laan van NOI station. The building was completed in 2002 and comprises approximately 41,000 m² of office space and 670 parking spaces. It meets the BREEAM-NL Excellent standard and is certified under the WELL Building Standard.

“Transferring the building to a party that is closely familiar with it and can now take full control over its future is a logical step,” said Bas Jochims, Fund Manager Dutch Office & Hotel Investments at Bouwinvest. “We value the long-standing cooperation we have had with the RVB.”

Bouwinvest has owned Centre Court since it was first completed in 2002. The sale is part of the Office Fund’s broader strategy to selectively optimise its portfolio, focusing on multi-tenant and sustainable assets in multifunctional and inner-city office locations.
