“Het Hof is an excellent example of high-quality housing within the mid-priced liberalised rental segment that we are targeting in the investment strategy of the Residential Fund. We are also proud to be contributing to the creation of a dynamic and attractive residential district in Den Bosch,”Michiel de Bruine, Head of Residential Asset Management at Bouwinvest said

Bouwinvest has purchased 224 apartments off- plan to be built in the “Het Hof” residential tower within the new housing development of Paleiskwartier, on the western side of the main station and close to the historic centre of the southern city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The acquisition for the Bouwinvest Residential Fund from development partner BV Ontwikkelingsmaatschappij Paleiskwartier was completed on November 7th and clears the way for the Het Hof project to proceed.

Mix of liberalised rental apartments and owner-occupied property
The apartments acquired by Bouwinvest range in size from 60 to 100 square metres and also have associated parking spaces and storage facilities. Alongside the rental units, a further 42 owner-occupier top quality homes and luxury penthouses of up to 200 sqm will be developed at Het Hof. The base of the tower will consist of a parking garage and 1,500 sqm of commercial space available for restaurants, cafes, retail and office use.

New quality of life at the Paleiskwartier
Het Hof was designed by LEVS Architects and is being constructed by SDK Real estate on the Hofvijver (High Pond) within easy walking distance of Den Bosch’s central station and the bustling shops, bars and restaurants of the city’s downtown area. A unique feature of the Paleiskwartier development will be the construction of a 255-metre long and 10.5-metre wide climate-controlled pedestrian and cycling bridge linking the city centre’s old and new districts. The Paleisbrug will be heated in the winter if the temperature falls below 4 degrees Celsius to prevent ice forming on the surface and cooled in the summer to avoid damage to the structure of the bridge from expansion with the heat of the sun.
New residents in the Het Hof will be able to select the most attractive views from the 15-storey high building, whether this is the lively street life of the Onderwijsboulevard and Vlijmenseweg, or the calming waters of the Hofvijver and the green space of the De Gement recreational area.

Construction of Het Hof is due to begin in the second quarter of 2015 for completion at the start of 2017. Purchasers interested in the apartments can register for updates on the project at the Paleiskwartie Information Centre.
