Bouwinvest Acquires Iconic Citroën buildings in Amsterdam’s Olympic District

Bouwinvest’s Dutch Office Fund has acquired the two iconic “Citroën buildings” next to Amsterdam’s 1928 Olympic Stadium from Citroën Nederland, as the real estate investment manager adds to its already significant portfolio in this historic district, which forms the southern gateway to the city.

The two buildings have a combined area of 25,000 sqm and will be redeveloped for multifunctional office, retail and hospitality use in line with the investment strategy of the Office Fund and in close cooperation with the municipality of Amsterdam to preserve the site’s important architectural features. The refurbishment project is scheduled to start in mid-2016 and be completed a year later.
