Bouwinvest’s Dutch Office Fund is the only Dutch fund nominated for the GRESB/BREEAM Award for Responsible Investment, which will be awarded in London on Monday March 4, 2019.

The Responsible Investment award distinguishes property investors who have played a leading role in making individual buildings or entire property funds sustainable. The Dutch Office Fund has been nominated in the 'Small Portfolio' category, which are funds with an invested capital of up to € 1 billion, of which at least 75% in sustainably certified buildings.

The strategy of the Office Fund is focused on sustainable ‘future-proof’ office spaces, centralising flexibility and meetings. More and more tenants require Bouwinvest’s strong focus on sustainability to fulfil their own objectives. Sustainability also supports a healthy working environment and extends the life cycle of our buildings, thus retaining their value in the future.

The BREEAM Awards, an initiative of the BRE (Building Research Establishment) in collaboration with GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark), is an annual international event that acknowledges exceptional projects, project teams and real estate funds in the field of sustainability. In 2017, Bouwinvest already received a BREEAM Award for its efforts in responsible and sustainable investments in the Dutch Retail Fund. Recently the Bouwinvest Dutch Hotel Fund was declared 2018 GRESB sector leader.
