Bouwinvest appoints new directors for Business Development and North American Investments

Bouwinvest Real Estate Investors announces that it has appointed Gijs Plantinga as Director Strategic Business Development effective 1 November. Following this internal move, Robert Wagenaar will take over Gijs’s former role as the new Director North American Investments.

In this new role, Gijs Plantinga will contribute to Bouwinvest’s strategic positioning, initiate new investment opportunities and develop and expand alliances with national and international investors. His background in the European and North American real estate investment market will be extremely useful in this regard. This position was previously held by Marleen Bosma, who was appointed Chief Client Officer (CCO) at Bouwinvest last year.

Robert Wagenaar will assume responsibility for Bouwinvest’s North American investments, working from the head office in Amsterdam. His colleague Bert van den Hoek will remain the first point of contact at our New York office. Robert previously held the position of Head of Portfolio Operations & Transactions at Bouwinvest’s international real estate investment arm. In this position, Robert's responsibilities included developing strategic investment plans for the three mandates Bouwinvest manages for bpfBOUW in Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
