The Bouwinvest Residential Fund has purchased 41 sustainable homes in Zwolle from Dura Vermeer Bouw Hengelo. The houses will be built in the water-rich Breezicht neighbourhood and rented out in the mid-rental segment, in line with the regulations of the municipality of Zwolle.

The Breezicht neighbourhood is located in the Stadshagen district on the northern side of Zwolle and is currently under development. A total of approximately 1,200 homes will be built in this area, offering a diverse range of housing options. The Residential Fund previously acquired 75 sustainable homes in this neighbourhood. The fund owns a total of nearly 500 homes in Zwolle.

Paul van Stiphout, Fund Manager Dutch Residential Investments at Bouwinvest: “After a period in which we have completed several sales transactions, we are pleased to have secured this acquisition. And what an acquisition it is: a sustainable and long-term investment in the mid-rental segment. In the coming years, it will be essential to build a lot of new homes to address the housing shortage and projects like this contribute to that effort.”

Tine-Loes Hemmes, Director Dura Vermeer: “We are delighted to continue to develop the Stadshagen neighbourhood together with Bouwinvest. By adding mid-priced rental units, we are contributing to the diversity of the neighbourhood.” Construction is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2024, with completion scheduled for the last quarter of 2025.
