Beyond macroeconomic factors like inflation and interest rates, the growing impact of climate change on financial value is becoming increasingly important, Bouwinvest’s Jeroen Beimer highlights in an interview with Chief Investment Officer.

“Even if a property is not at a particularly increased risk for climate change impacts, higher insurance costs could still be a factor. Maybe in the longer term, the second-order effects might have a larger impact than we now anticipate.”
